A Component of the American Podiatric Medical Association
The American Podiatric Medical Association, at approximately 18,000 podiatrists, was founded in 1912 and is a leading resource for foot and ankle health information. As a component association, the ALPMA leads the way in the state of Alabama for foot and ankle health information with approximately 90 members. The Alabama Podiatric Medical Association led the charge for scope expansion which included the ankle. Read more about this here.
Mission Statement
The Alabama Podiatric Medical Association serves the podiatric profession by advocating for the doctors and patients in the state of Alabama in order to support foot and ankle care, public health, and public health policy with education, promotion, and advocacy.
